With cell phones nearly as common as backpacks at junior high and even elementary schools, it appears parental resistance is slipping to equipping children with pricey electronics. Parents still worry, though, about end-of-the-month surprises when wireless bills reveal out-of-control text messaging or marathon calling sessions by their cell-phone-toting children.
