Philemon Masinga scored the goal against Congo in 1997 that took Bafana Bafana to its first FIFA World Cup™ appearance at France 1998. He was also part of the team that won the African Nations Cup in 1996. Masinga played for Jomo Cosmos and Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa and at Leeds United in England.
