One person was shot to death and another wounded by gunfire Thursday afternoon, authorities said. A 52-year-old woman died and a 61-year-old man was wounded in the shootings, which took place across the street from Orange High School, said Paul Loriquet, a spokesman for the Essex County prosecutor's office. No students were involved, he said.
