The Ladysmith City Council adopted a 2008 city budget, Monday evening, that calls for a tax levy of $920,872 for operation of city gov-ernment. That levy is $34,225 (3.8 per-cent) higher than last year’s tax levy of $886,647. The increase reflects the state-allowed 3.86 per-cent increase.
